About Us

Madeline is a soprano, based in Birmingham and Cardiff who is studying with Gail Pearson at the Royal Welsh College Of Music And Drama. She recently made her debut with Welsh National Opera’s ‘The Magic Flute’ in 2023.  She is currently a member of the BBC National Chorus of Wales where she has performed in St David’s Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. Madeline has also been singing in different choirs for many years such as church choirs and the Junior Birmingham Conservatoire chamber choir.

Katie is a Soprano based in Bristol and Cardiff, currently training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Katie has a particular fondness for choral music and has sung and recorded with Origin Voices, the National Youth Choir and Chamber Choir, BBC National Chorus of Wales, RWCMD Chamber Choir and St Martin's in Roath. Katie has also previously staffed National Youth Girls’ Choir courses, and as part of the staff team in the Performing Arts departments at Bristol Grammar School.

Celeste is a mezzo soprano from Berkshire. She’s sung as a chorister from the age of seven, notably singing as Head Chorister at St Andrew church Sonning. In Cardiff, alongside singing with Origin Voices, Celeste is studying music at Cardiff university and is the Alto Choral Scholar at Llandaff cathedral (22-24).  She sings in the Rodolfus choir and in the Cardiff University Chamber Choir and recently went on tour to Malaysia. Celeste has also most recently  conducted at St Paul‘s Cathedral with the Prometheus Singers .

Cornish-born alto Katie was a chorister at Exeter Cathedral and Truro Cathedral until the age of 18.  In Cardiff, she sings in St Martin's in Roath, and Cardiff University's Chamber Choir. Katie is currently studying Music and English at Cardiff University and  plays Jazz and Classical  trumpet.

Joshua was born in England but grew up in Switzerland. He has a strongly rooted choral background s.  At 13 he founded a children's choir that is now 30+ strong.  He was part of the National Youth Training Choir, and whilst attending Kings School Rochester, sang thrice weekly in Rochester Cathedral amongst other churches and cathedrals. Joshua is currently under the tutorship of Geoff Moses at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Jake Addo is a tenor and music student at Cardiff University. Born in London, he has sung in many choral environments from a young age, most notably at St Paul's Cathedral where he was a treble chorister for 4 years under the director of music Andrew Carwood. Jake is also a pianist and bassoonist, as well as a keen composer of different styles from neo-classical and minimalist to jazz and film. He also enjoys transcribing and arranging vocal music from time to time (especially for Origin).

Joshua Conway is an English baritone and composer currently studying at New York University. Raised in a musical family, Josh sang as a chorister in churches and cathedrals in the south west.  Josh Currently Sings with the Cathedral Choirs of St John the Divine NYC.  As well as founding Origin, Josh has previously directed and toured choirs across the UK, singing in venues such as Exeter Cathedral and Buckfast Abbey.

Harry is currently studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as a bass-baritone. Previously, he has worked as Bass Choral Scholar at St David’s Cathedral and served as a member of Gloucester Cathedral’s Youth Choir for 6 years. He has performed as part of the National Youth Choir in the past. Now, he regularly acts as a deputy singer for Gloucester Cathedral as well as attending various choral groups in Cardiff.
